I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't seen RuPaul's Drag Race yet. If you haven't seen the March 9 episode, don't read below! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Are they gone now?
It's just us? The ones who saw it?
OK, then.
Ahem.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm broken hearted. Shannel was so absolutely perfect to win this competition! Charisma? Oh, yeah. Uniqueness? Absolutely. Nerve? Umm...check out the costume and the fabulous assets! And talent?
See, that's what really makes me unable to believe it's all over. Shannel was, as far as I could tell, the only one who could step into RuPaul's stilettos. I'm in Las Vegas and I spent half my time rooting for Shannel and half my time worrying that she was going to win and run off to New York and Paris and who knows where and I'd never get a chance to see her perform in Vegas, but now...well, now I wish that fear had merit.
On the other hand, who am I kidding? This show was great exposure...well, not that Shannel needed any help with the exposure part. But surely some important people saw Bryan's talent and ability, and I only wish I could have "known him back when...." As much success as he's seen, I'm sure this will take his career to higher heights.
Look, I'll just keep babbling if I don't make myself stop, so I'll just stop here with a tiny little whimper and a wish that this most fabulous of Vegas showgirls had gone all the way and won this competition. I'll console myself with the thought that maybe I'll get to see a live performance someday. What's the schedule? The fans need to know! I've read about Sunday nights at Gipsy. Is that still happening? Where else might I bask in the fabulousness?
Distraught, Amy

I'm just ... I'm just flummoxed. Shannel was so clearly the most qualified and talented, not to mention the most gorgeous and amazing drag queen in the whole competition. I couldn't believe it, week after week, as the judges ripped her to shreds or passed over her. I mean, seriously, what? Shannel didn't win? What? Were they feeding the judges mushrooms?
Seriously, I loved Ongina, and Nina has some fierceness going on, and Bebe is beautiful. But Shannel was just in a league of her own.
I'm just in shock.
However, as Amy pointed out above, I do hope this means I'll be able to see Shannel myself in Las Vegas someday! I'm planning a trip in June. Does anyone know if Shannel will be there then?!? When can I buy tickets?

Oh! And Shannel's Myspace page mentions Chanel cosmetics. Honey, I'd buy a truckload if it meant I could get my face done by the master. Where? When? How? I need to know!

Well i just saw the show and let me just say i am amazingly proud of her. She is so talented and unique, She doesnt need them to get where she wants. I know that if the judges wouldnt have been so blind she would of won that competition no doubt about that.
Moving on.... About Her shows, so far what i know is that she has them every Sunday. I am finding out right now if She will be around in June. Or if she will take a time off. As soon as i know ill let you guys know ;D
Thank you all for all your support and love to Shannel/Bryan.
Much Love, Camilia

Hi!
I'm just your average Midwestern wife and mother. I don't know the world of drag, and yet I can see the utter idiocy of the judges decision to eliminate Shannel.
Its my understanding that drag is an illusion of the extreme beauty of females. Queens are the epitome of glamour and grace that so many of us strive for. I believe that Shannel personified those qualities.
It's rather sad that RuPaul, who is such an extreme, would designate Shannel as " unreal". Of course drag isn't " real ". It's an illusion. And by far the best illusionist was Shannel.
I hope to someday go to Vegas and catch her show!
Miss Shannel, from all us "real" girls .....Honey...you were graceful, classy, kind and gregarious! You are America's Greatest Drag Queen!

I personally can't help but wonder if Shannel never won any challenges and never heard a kind word from the judges because they thought she was too high and mighty. The judges were often complaining they'd like to see some vunerability from her. I know what I'm saying sounds horrible and unfair and I am certainly not trying to discredit the judges but I feel as if that might be a part as to why she never won any of the challenges. Either that or RuPaul is afraid of real competition!
I'm just so upset to see her go. I'm not even sure if I can continue to watch the rest of the episodes... the need to watch it died tragically last week.
Disheartened, Maria/Jade

Maria/Jade, I truly feel that the real reason Shannel was passed over on Drag Race boils down to the last sentence in your first paragraph. I sincerely feel RuPaul was afraid of real competition. I think Ru felt Shannel could outshine him, which I am definitely in agreement. I don't know obviously if Shannel can sing, but she surpasses RuPaul in other areas of talent.
I am going to miss seeing Shannel on a weekly basis. I'm not a big fan of Vegas, but I sure do wish I lived there just so I could see Shannel on stage every Sunday.
And I can't wait to see her make-up tricks video!!
We love ya, Bryan/Shannel!!

He wants someone to have his place but he doesnt want people to see that person is much better. So he will choose the winner who he best thinks will do the job with out, outshining him. I respect who ever wins, im happy for them. But everyone knows Shannel would of been the winner We love ya, Bryan/Shannel!!

As someone who grew up with Bryan/Shannel, I can tell you he is not a person to stand by and let himself get trampled on to ensure someone else has their pride is intact. He is a great person and like anyone can only take so much. He is beautiful, he is awesome at what he does, and he has been doing it for much longer than I think any of the others on the show. I agree, RuPaul didn't want to have someone who could hold his own well. And Bryan is 100%. Not to judge or sound mean towards the other contestants, but he was just hands down the whole package!! I am sad to see he is off the show, but he left under his terms and reallly, the whole thing at the end with RuPaul and his sashe or chonte...yeah KISS MY BUTT Bryan made the choice, Ru didn't need to go through that part, that was personal glory...WTF? whatever!!
Luv you Bryan!! MUAH!!!
